About Dr. Goldhaber
Dr. Gerald M. Goldhaber,the president of Goldhaber Research Associates,LLC,is a nationally recognized expert in the fields of political polling and warning label research. His clients include Fortune 500 companies,as well as educational and governmental organizations. He has conducted hundreds of surveys,including political polls for candidates running for U.S. Congress,Senate and President. Dr. Goldhaber also served as a consultant to President Reagan’s Private Sector Survey for Cost Control.
Dr. Goldhaber served as the Chair of the Department of Communication,State University of New York at Buffalo,between 1979 and 1988,and served as the Director of the Graduate Program until 2004. He has written and edited 10 books and is a frequent international lecturer on the topic of communication. He writes numerous articles on a variety of issues for publication in journals and newspapers across the country,and has served as a political analyst for radio and television shows. He has been selected as a member of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World. His research and interviews have appeared in many of the top newspapers and TV shows including CBS Morning News,Forbes,The Wall Street Journal,the Boston Globe,and the Buffalo News.
Dr. Goldhaber serves in a number of organizations:he is currently a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society,Marketing Research Association,Gotham City Networking,Inc.,and the International Communication Association,for which he held the title of Vice President.
Dr. Arun Vishwanath is an expert in the field of consumer behavior,specifically in the diffusion,acceptance,and utilization information technology. He is presently Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at the Department of Communication and Adj. Associate Professor at the Department of Management Science and Systems,School of Business,at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has authored and presented close to 50 papers in communication,research,and marketing publications,books,and conferences. His research has been featured in Bloomberg Business Week, Consumer Reports,and over a 100 other leading newspapers and websites.
Dr. Vishwanath has worked and consulted with corporations on issues ranging from marketing strategy,to consumer confusion,and trademark infringements. He has designed and developed trademark surveys for both defense and plaintiff cases,and has evaluated and critiqued opposing trademark surveys and experts. He has worked with regional and national research clients spanning a number of industries including education,health care,financial institutions,government,marketing,public relations,market research,sports,media,and real estate development.
He is a member of the International Communication Association,the Association for Education in Mass Communication and Journalism,the American Marketing Association,and Brainstorm (formerly Professional Communicators of Western New York),and also served as the Vice President of the Buffalo Ad Council.
